Black Diamond, AB is home to the newest tack shop in Southern Alberta. The doors open March 1st, and SHAY'S Tack & Feed will offer a complete line of feed, tack, saddles, ropes and supplies. Owned and Operated by Shaylene Gladstone, who was born and raised in Southern Alberta, has made her dream a reality. Shaylene grew up around the Airdrie area, but has called west of High River home for some time now. Setting up shop in the area she knows and loves will better enable her to service hands-on customer care, and where better than the heart of horse country? She said, "It won't be like work when you get to talk horses and the western way of life all day!" Having been actively involved with horses and ranching all her life, Shaylene believes in the good old fashioned values like honesty, integrity, quality, a good cup of coffee, and a firm handshake. Her many years experience in the horse trailer industry has provided the background and knowledge, as well as the reputation to bring complete customer satisfaction to all who step through the door. Yes, if you ask, she still will be able to find the trailer you want or need... Shaylene has made team penning her passion for the last few years, but is happy as long as she is on the back of a horse. She's been known to pick up a rope and spin a few, cut the odd cow, and has been seen helping at many a branding. Located 1 block North of the 4 way stop in Black Diamond, the store will be open Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm, and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. But, if you need something after hours just give a call, and Shaylene will meet you. Make sure you attend the Grand Opening on March 18th. There will be great specials on all items in the store all day, and you can bet the coffee will be on. Come and see what SHAY'S Tack & Feed has to offer.
